Privacy Policy
The Lake Akan Tourism Association Urban Development Promotion Organization (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "this Service").
Article 1 (Personal Information)
"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined by the Personal Information Protection Act, and it pertains to information about living individuals that can identify a specific person through details such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact information, and other descriptions, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information that can identify a specific individual from the information alone, such as the insurer number on health insurance cards (personal identification information).

Additionally, transaction records and payment-related information that include users' personal information exchanged between users and partner organizations may be collected from our partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors, hereinafter referred to as "partners").
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which the Association collects and uses personal information are as follows.
- "For the provision and operation of the association's services."
- To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification).
- To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other services provided by our association that the user is currently utilizing.
- For maintenance and important notifications as needed.
- To identify users who violate the terms of service or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use.
- To allow users to view, modify, delete their registration information, and check their usage status.
- In paid services, to charge users for usage fees.
- Purpose incidental to the above-mentioned utilization purpose.
Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
The purpose for which our association collects and uses personal information is as follows.
- The Association shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably recognized that the new purpose is related to the purpose prior to the change.
- In the event of a change in the purpose of use, we will notify the users of the new purpose through the method prescribed by our association or publish it on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Association will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the user, except in the cases listed below. However, this does not apply in situations permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
- When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
- When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the healthy development of children, and obtaining the individual's consent is difficult.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the cases listed below, the recipient of the information shall not be considered a third party.

- In cases where personal information is jointly used with specific parties, if the individual is notified in advance about this, as well as the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of the parties involved in the joint use, the purposes for which the information will be used, and the name or title of the person responsible for managing the said personal information, or if the individual is placed in a situation where they can easily become aware of this information.
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

The Association will promptly disclose personal information when requested by the individual concerned. However, if the disclosure would fall under any of the following categories, we may choose not to disclose all or part of the information, and in the event of such a decision, we will notify the individual without delay. Additionally, a fee will be charged for each request for the disclosure of personal information.
- In the event that there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of oneself or a third party.
- In the event that there is a significant risk of severely obstructing the proper execution of the Association's operations.
- In the event of violating other laws and regulations.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal data such as historical information and characteristic information will not be disclosed as a general rule.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
- Users may request the correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "corrections, etc.") from our association if they believe that the personal information held by the association is incorrect, following the procedures established by the association.
- The Association shall promptly make corrections or other necessary actions regarding the personal information in response to a request from the user, if it determines that such action is required.
- The Association shall promptly notify the user when it makes corrections based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph or when it decides not to make any corrections.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)
- The Association will promptly conduct the necessary investigation if an individual requests the cessation or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "cessation of use, etc.") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of its intended purpose, or that it has been obtained through improper means.
- Based on the findings of the previous investigation, if it is determined that there is a need to respond to the request, we will promptly suspend the use of the relevant personal information.
- The Association shall promptly notify the user when it has taken measures such as suspension of use based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it has made a decision not to suspend use.
- Notwithstanding the preceding two items, in cases where there are significant costs associated with suspension of use or other circumstances that make such suspension difficult, if alternative measures can be taken that are necessary to protect the user's rights and interests, such alternative measures shall be implemented.
Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
- The contents of this policy may be changed without prior notice to users, except for matters specified otherwise by laws and regulations or this policy.
- Unless otherwise specified by the Association, the revised privacy policy shall take effect from the time it is published on this website.
